What is CarChief®?

CarChief® is a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program designed to keep you informed of your vehicle’s manufacturer -recommended service intervals at the right time.Your vehicle’s overall health will be monitored as diagnostic data is continually sent to CarChief®. The device will digest your  vehicle’s owner manual and send text alerts when service is recommended.

By eliminating the guesswork, CarChief® helps you proactively plan for essential maintenance, ensuring your vehicle remains in optimal condition. Additionally, CarChief® alerts you when your vehicle’s check engine light is triggered and provides detailed information on the specific diagnostic code.

How will I be contacted?

CarChief® will notify you via text and/or email in the event of maintenance needed or a check engine light displaying. Additionally CarChief® notifies your dealership of all maintenance needs and/or a check engine light displaying. This may result in calls, text messages, and/or emails from your dealership.

Does CarChief® pay for my vehicle service?

No, CarChief® does not cover the cost of your vehicle service. CarChief® is a service designed to notify you of upcoming maintenance needs and alert you to any issues, such as a check engine light, helping you stay on top of your vehicle’s care. The cost of maintenance and repairs is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

How do I set up my online account?

You can access your online account by visiting: https://portal.mycarchief.com/login

Forgot Password/Password Recovery

Select the “Forgot Password” option by visiting https://portal.mycarchief.com/login to reset and establish a new password.

Scheduling, Rescheduling, or cancelling your service appointment.

To schedule, reschedule, or cancel your service appointment, please contact your dealership directly. Your dealership will update your CarChief® account with the appropriate appointment details or modifications.

Stolen Vehicle

If your vehicle is stolen, please report the theft immediately to the local law enforcement authorities in the city or town where the theft occurred.

No longer Own Vehicle

If you no longer own a vehicle listed on your CarChief® account, you will want to notify your dealership as soon as possible so they can update your account accordingly.

Upon notification of vehicle ownership change CarChief® will permanently end all services being provided to you. There will be no reimbursement issued.

Not receiving messages from CarChief®.

If you are not receiving notifications from CarChief®, please verify that your phone number and email address are correct. To update this information, kindly contact your dealership for assistance or access your consumer portal.

Once you have logged into your consumer portal, go to the upper right hand corner where your information is listed, click on the ‘Edit’ button and update the field that needs to be corrected.

Vehicle Maintenance Due

CarChief® will notify both you and your dealership when your vehicle is due for service, along with details on the specific services required, based on your vehicle’s manufacturer recommendations. Notifications are sent according to either the vehicle’s mileage or production time intervals.

Check Engine Light Displaying

CarChief® will alert both you and your dealership when your vehicle’s check engine light is activated. Through your CarChief® online portal, you can access the diagnostic code associated with the check engine light. Simultaneously, your dealership will receive notification, allowing them to assess the severity of the code and promptly schedule the necessary service.

Lease Terms Notification

Customers leasing a vehicle may receive lease terms notifications. These terms are established by your dealership at the time of acquiring your vehicle. For questions about your lease terms please contact your dealership.

Vehicle not running or vehicle service concerns.

For any vehicle service concerns, please contact your dealership at your earliest convenience.

Renew Your CarChief® Term

Cancellation of CarChief®

CarChief® is Non-Cancellable and Non-Refundable: Once the Device is sold to the Customer, the CarChief® Services is noncancellable by and non-refundableto the Customer. Notwithstanding the foregoing, CarChief® may terminate the Services at any time upon notice to Customer.

Transfer of Devices:

If you sell or trade your vehicle, you may transfer your CarChief® Device to your new vehicle. A $200 transfer fee will be charged to transfer the Device to another vehicle owned by you during the Term of this Agreement.

Can I have multiple vehicles on my CarChief® account?

Yes, there are no limitations to the number of vehicles on an account.

Can I set up multiple Users on my account?

Yes, You can add additional users to your CarChief® account by accessing your customer portal or contacting your dealership.

Can I monitor my vehicle location?

CarChief® provides 24/7 access to your vehicle’s location. This is viewable via your customer portal.

Can my dealership see my location?

No, Only you are able to access your vehicle location via your CarChief® customer portal.
